Description: Comprises photographs of jazz musicians and related subjects taken by Dennis Huggard, the Auckland Star and unknown photographers. Most images date from 1992-2000, but also includes several prints from the 1950s-1960s. Three ca.1960s images show unknown jazz bands performing on stage, with instruments including piano, drums, bass and trumpet. One image shows Nat King Cole working with Crombie Murdoch in 1955. Other images of jazz musicians were taken at New Zealand jazz festivals in the 1992-2000 period, including the National Jazz Festival (1992-1993, 1996, 1999), Manawatu Jazz Festival (2000), Bay of Islands Jazz Festival (1997). Further photographs were taken at jazz clubs and other events.
