Description: Shows the Clutha River flowing through a canyon. On one side stand Clyde Dam workers hammering a sign into the ground which demands a 15 per cent pay rise. On the other side are Muldoon and Bill Birch wearing a hard hat. Muldoon is angrily refusing to meet the workers' demands. At the bottom of the canyon two scientists from the D.S.I.R. Description: The bulldozers building the hydro-electric Clyde dam on the Clutha River are knocking over the temple pillars of 'The Law'. Bruce Beetham's Social Credit Party supported Robert Muldoon's National government in the passing of special 'fast track' legislation which overrode the existing legal protection of land owners, so that the Clyde dam could be built.
