Description: The largest group of photographs relate to an Institution of Fire Engineers conference held at the Central Wellington Fire Station. Images of this event show fire engines and other support vehicles, and operational demonstrations of equipment such as hoses and ladders. Other photographs were taken during R A Cartwright's service as a fireman in Dunedin during World War 2. One group is of a house and garden at Blueskin Bay, Otago, and includes views of the Bay and surrounding landscape. There are two photographs of the Dunedin Central Fire Station, and two of the Ford motor factory at Lower Hutt. Other images are of trucks on a farm, Wellington, and a view of the war memorial arch at Christchurch. Arrangement: Negative at 1/4-108085-F to 1/4-108247-F.
