Description: Shows scattering of buildings against background of bare land and hillside. Buildings include: wooden cottage with two doors and three windows along front; smaller cottage to the left, with two windows and one door, and another building partly obscured behind these. In right foreground is a low-walled garden, and a gibbet with carcass hanging, beside small hut. In right background is a large shed. Appears to be a picture of an early stage of development at the station, which was first settled by Alexander Lean in 1857, and bought by Hugh Percy Murray Aynsley in the mid-1860s.
