Description: Sketch of Lake Waikaremoana and surrounding lakes Wairau, Marau and Marauiti, naming several locations around the lakes and depicting the Armed Constabulatory Post at Teupoko o Te Ao. Shows old road to Wairoa and the new road to Wairoa, both originating from the Post. Depicts Scannell's old redoubt and the Kiwi old redoubt, both near the old road to Wairoa. Towards the top left corner of the map is a drawing of a fortified building. Pencil annotation 'by Mr A Maclean A.C. about 1870' under title.
