Document certifying that George Alington has been a good employee, and has left the Department at his own request, dated "Kurrachee 22 May 1874." Letter to an editor containing a comic poem farewelling an unidentified person (probably George Alington, as the subject of the poem is giving up being a sahib and relocating to Rakaia, Canterbury, New Zealand).
