Description: Three houses and a woolshed, built and underconstruction, on Mana Island. The buldozer is also improving road access. Photographed by an Evening Post staff photographer 10 December 1973. In 1971 the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries took over the management of Mana Island. A sheep research and quarentine station was established on the Island under the control of the Ruakura research station, Hamilton.
