Description: View from a garden above Helen Street Brooklyn looking north-east across Mount Cook and Te Aro towards Mount Victoria. Part of the lower stretch of Helen Street can be seen and its junction with Tanera Crescent. The Fitchett house is centre left, and beyond it is a plantation of pines above the corner of Brooklyn and Ohiro Road (which at this point can't be seen). The fresh cuttings and the track of the new Brooklyn Road can be seen in the middle distance (which may mean that this photograph is nearer ca 1908 than 1910). On the left of Brooklyn Road is a small section of Central Park, and beyond it is Nairn Street Park. Photograph taken ca 1910 by Francis E Tomlinson. Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
