He says 'We need to discuss birth control!' In a second version the husband says 'How did this happen?' Former ACT leader Rodney Hide clushes his wounded backside and rushes away. Context - Don Brash has ousted Rodney Hide and taken over his role as leader of the the ACT Party in a bloodless coup (hence the pop-guns). The cartoon suggests collusion with John Key. The ACT Party now has both Roger Douglas, the creator of 'Rogernomics' the financial reforms in 1984 that introduced deregulation and a reliance on the markets for economic growth, and Don Brash who is a follower of that line of thinking. In the first frame 'Seemingly dormant air begins spinning to the right...' and the head of Don Brash starts to spin in an anti-clockwise direction. In the second cameo Don Brash 'then collides with stale air spinning from the left and the head of the leader of the Labour Party, Phil Goff, seems to be running out of steam as he spins to the left. Next comes 'unstable air spinning from the North' and Hone Harawira, the leader of the new Mana Party, appears with steam belching out of his ears. The Don Brash tornado 'then merges with the tepid air spinning in the centre...' as he twists around the Prime Minister, John Key 'creating volatile air that no matter what the spin...'
