Context: Police released files from their investigation into two $25,000 donations from German multi-millionaire Kim Dotcom and a $15,000 donation from SkyCity towards Banks 2010 Auckland mayoralty campaign, which were all registered as anonymous. Statements from Dotcom show Banks told him: "I want to help you Kim and I can help you more effectively if no-one knows about this donation." They also show Banks twice confirmed he received the donation (Stuff 13 September 2012). Bennett has introduced a bill to change welfare rules so job seekers can be penalised if they fail drug tests and have outstanding arrest warrants (TV3 17 September 2012).
