Description: Badge maker not identified. Comprises badge insignia from a New Zealand Armed Constabulary uniform worn at Opepe Redoubt, Taupō. V R [Victoria Regina] surrounded by a crown, with oak leaves on both sides and the words N Z Armed Constabulary on a banner below. The right-hand wreath of oak leaves is broken off at the top. Stored, with Curios-001-012 (from the same source) in a small tin box for Elastoplast first aid dressings Title supplied by Library. Quantity: 1 curio(s). Description: Button maker not identified. Comprises badge insignia from a New Zealand Armed Constabulary uniform worn at Opepe Redoubt, Taupō. A crown, surrounded the words N Z Armed Constabulary. The button has a round loop at the back. An accompanying note reads 'Presented to the Alexander Turnbull Library in recognition of willing researches on my behalf. From the rubbish pit of Opepe Redoubt, at one time Headquarters of the Armed Constabulary.' [signed] W. Hugh Ross. Title supplied by Library.
