Views outside Christchurch City include the stone monument to Kai Tahu on the site of the Kaiapohi Pa, commemorating those who died in attacks by Te Rauparaha and his northern followers Lyttelton wharf and harbour. Christchurch views include the Avon River; central city street scenes; Cathedral Square with the Cathedral and Warner's Hotel, and people using various forms of transport (horse-drawn vehicles and bicycles); the Cathedral and Canterbury Museum (both interior and exterior views).
