Description: Photographs of trips taken in the countryside, of bridges, rivers, streams, waterfalls, native forest, mountains, coastal scenery and other scenic views. There are pictures of cars and one of a motorcycle with side car. There are prints of two fly fishermen displaying their catch in a net and of a man holding up a large eel. Others show yachts in sail, and men and boys in yachts; adult fun sports at a group outing identified in PAColl-6712-2 as being the "optic championships". Another group are shown playing cricket in the grounds of Days Bay House. There is also a single print of a hunter showing his bag of wild game birds. Animals are represented by cattle and horses, one of the latter associated with two men and a wagon-full of freshly harvested hay, another is harnessed to a coach parked beside a stationary train. A sequence of prints records the dams and lakes of the newly completed Mangahao Hydro in the hills inland from Shannon. Three prints show a ship grounded in coastal shallows. There are portrait and group photographs of people, including children, and one print of a children's party. Several show picnic groups.

Description: Photographs taken during the royal tour of New Zealand made by the Prince of Wales in 1920. Many of the images are of military inspections and displays by school children. There are also displays of Maori dancing and singing, the sailors of the HMS Renown, on which the prince had travelled , prior to their soccer match in Dunedin, the prince addressing the crowds etc. A number of the images are in two-part panoramas. Also included are four scenic photographs by the New Zealand Tourist Department which may have been taken in 1903. The photographer for the tour photographs was Guy. Description: Panoramic view of a collection of single-storeyed buildings at the Kaupokonui Dairy Company. Groups of men are standing facing the camera. Sixteen men in the centre of the image are wearing suits, hats and ties, while thirteen others are centre right, most of whom are wearing work overalls. There are seven cars behind the men on the left (several number plates visible: WW333, WW-23, WW245). A small boy is standing by one of the cars, centre left, and there is a boy on a horse, and horses and carts in the middle distance centre left. Houses on a higher level on the far left. Description: Comprises mainly photographs relating to the Gisborne Motor Service Co and their fleet of cars. Includes images following a fire at the Gisborne Motor Service on 23 February 1927, and images of cars presumably from the motor service being used on roads in Gisborne city and the Gisborne region. Includes images of cars in various weather conditions, including snow, and also a horse-drawn carriage with wheels trapped in deep mud en route to Tolaga Bay from Gisborne, and cars on the road in deeply forested areas. Also includes an image entitled, 'Departure of hockey girls per Gisborne Motor Service', which shows a line-up of vehicles with men and women sitting on the cars or kneeling in front of them. Also includes an image of 'Wizard' Smith, and his racecar at Ninety Mile Beach, and a small number of photographs possibly relating to Joan Frances Fahey, including an image of a group of tennis players. Description: The first and largest section of this album records a trip in Canada and possibly the United States, made by a young man with a motor car about 1923. The second section are photographs taken on a visit to possibly Hawaii or Tahiti. Local people are recorded as well as a number of yachts tied up along the waterfront of a town, and a white warship. The third section include family photographs taken in Britain in the 1890s, and several shipboard views, two of which show what are probably crossing the line ceremonies involving a canvas swimming pool.
