Description: View from a high point of early Auckland, looking down over the town, with the spire of St Paul's Church in the distance and the barracks outlined against the sea towards the right, past North Head towards Rangitoto. The Library holds an ink and wash original for this view. A watercolour version is in the Mitchell Library, Sydney.
