A large number of houses of all sorts including some state houses and art deco styled houses. Other localities include Gordonston, Tauwhare, Huntly, Waingaro, Rotowaro, Raglan, Ngaruawahia, and Okete. These include much the same sorts of buildings as well as churches, schools, hotels, public halls, cemeteries, and bridges. Description: The bulk of the papers are concerned with Daniell's business activities as an architect in Hamilton and Masterton. They contain correspondence, accounts and specifications relating to his architectural work. Daniell's diaries provide information on his activities during this period. The private papers relate to family and community affairs. They contain personal correspondence and documents together with material dealing with Daniell's involvement in the Methodist Church, no-licence and other community activities. Source of title - Supplied Arrangement: The arrangement of the papers reflect the order in which they were received by the Library. There are a considerable number of general correspondence files which have overlapping dates. The letters within each file are arranged alphabetically. The reason why an item was filed under a particular letter of the alphabet is not always apparent and it can not be assumed that a letter will be found exactly where one might expect it to be. Description: Architectural plans of church buildings designed by Frederick C Daniell in Hamilton and the Waikato District, including Te Kuiti, Te Awamutu, Cambridge, Kimihia, and Frankton Junction. A few photographs are included (some taken by G Cartwright, Hamilton), showing buildings under construction or when completed. Most of the plans are signed "Fred C Daniell", or F C Daniell, Architect, Hamilton". One page shows plans for a church for removal from Waitekauri to Te Kowhai; one shows alterations and additions to stables in Canada Street, for Mr James Dignan of Morrinsville; several show architectural details, including details of shop fronts for Dillicar Brothers, Frankton Junction. Title on the cover attributes the work to his father Charles Edward Daniell, though it was Frederick who had a practice in Hamilton during the period covered by this album, and all the signatures are those of Frederick.
