Description: Photograph of people standing on the verandahs of Emerald Glen, the homestead of the Lynch family in Paekakariki, taken by an unidentified photographer after the house was built in 1905. The original Emerald Glen home was destroyed by fire. In 1905, Captain Henry Lynch's son, Ossian, rebuilt the dwelling, incorporating timber and bricks saved from the original house.
