Description: Six-panelled account of Freda du Faur's conquest of Mount Cook in 1910, with the guides Alex and Peter Graham. Shows the disfavour in which her actions were held by some. These illustrations were reproduced in New Zealand newspapers during the late 1940s and early 1950s. The newspapers included The Evening Post, Auckland Star, Christchurch Star Sun, Taranaki Herald, Southern Cross, Students' Digest, Greymouth Evening Star, Evening Star (Sports) Dunedin, and the Southland Daily News.
