Description: The cartoon shows a row of weapons and a spade, on each of which rests the headgear of whoever used the item; from the left they are a Roman sword and helmet, a British rifle and helmet, a Russian kalashnikov and fur hat, an American weapon and helmet and a New Zealand brimmed hat and spade. Refers to the announcement by the defence forces that on 4th August a New Zealand soldier, Lieutenant Timothy O'Donnell, was killed and two others injured in an attack on a routine patrol in Afghanistan.
