Context: Reigning Olympic and world champion Valerie Adams was mistakenly left off the startlist for the women's shot put qualifying event at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. The mistake was corrected, and Adams went on to win her second consecutive gold medal in the event, after Belarus's Nadzeya Ostapchuk tested positive for the steroid metenolone in a urine sample.
