Description: Shows passengers on the deck of the ferry steamer Wakatipu on Foveaux Strait. The passengers are variously promenading, admiring the view, reading a newspaper or a book, or sitting and talking. A lifeboat can be seen at an upper level of the ship. A preliminary pencil drawing of the same scene is held at E-147-041 'S S Wakatip - Stewart Island trip on deck, 25/12/96 [sic]. The way some people enjoy themselves, see back for the way other people enjoy themselves'. The back shows a seasick passenger lying in a bunk. Quantity: 1 drawing(s).
