Description: Album recording a motoring and camping holiday through the South Island of New Zealand. This took in the New Zealand South Seas Exhibition in Dunedin and included the West Coast, Otago, and Canterbury. The central part of the album has images of Khandallah, Wellington, and the family home in that suburb. Family photographs include Doug on his Norton Motorcycle, and Jack and Neville similarly posed on a Douglas Motorcycle. Rene and Frank stand at the net holding tennis rackets, and mother has several images with young Joyce. The last part of the album recordes something of a holiday to Auckland where the family camped at Brown's Bay and took a trip to Kawau Island. A group shot on Mt Messanger on the way back and some views of Pukekura Park New Plymouth complete the album Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: Album of photographs. Most of the views of Canterbury and Thames were taken by Daniel Mundy, between 1868 and 1872. New Zealand scenes are mostly taken by Daniel Mundy, and include many landscapes; a few taken in Christchurch City; several show the Raukapuka Station and Raukapuka Bush, near Geraldine; several taken in and around the Thames Goldfields, at Moanatiri Valley and Te Puhi Flat, with one view of the workings of `The Wild Missouri. Quartz crusher. Thames'. A section of the album shows parts of England, including a number of Glastonbury Abbey and St Joseph's Chapel, Wells, Mitford and Mitford Castle, and Pang bourne [i.e. Pangbourne]. Description: Rough sketch looking south towards Akaroa Harbour entrance from the shore of Duvauchelle Bay. There are outlines of people on the foreshore, a house or two along the beach to the right and the hull of a partly-constructed boat further away. There is also a coastal profile along the top of the page, probably of the Canterbury alps from the sea. The phrase Gorge of Rakia above the coastal profile may be a mistake for Gorge of Rakaia Chevalier visited Akaroa in April 1866. However he also visited Dunedin in 1868 and may have added this sketch to Hodgkins sketchbook at the later date.
