Dated from similar image, information on back of file print APG-1401-1/2. This engine was built at the Petone Railway Workshops in 1905. It was designed by G A Pearson for use on the Rimutaka Incline. Because of faults in the mechanism it was modified with an outside exhaust, and an additional expansion dome, ca 1912; broken up in 1917.
