This group includes photographs of Peter Blake, Dennis Connor, and artist Ralph Hotere. There are views of the crowd on the wharf where the yachts were tied, of accompanying craft on the harbour, and of a 15th century sailing ship. Album of photographs of Miria Wills Johnson, her family and friends, and of ships

Description: Most of the photographs in this album date from 1945 and 1946. There are young men, some of whom are in military uniform, all of them friends and aquaitances of Miria Wills Johnson. One page of photographs depicts her Australian pen friends, another, people who attended a Y.P.C. Carnival Ball. Three photographs show a group of young men playing baseball, and there are two pages of snaps of motorbike races in progress. Family members, pets, picnics and excursions are represented. The largest section of photographs relate to the barque "Pamir" which was visited and photographed by Miria Wills Johnson when it was in Lyttelton in November/December 1946. Many of the photographs were taken for her. She climbed the bowsprit, the masts and the yard arms and took views of Lyttelton Harbour and of other ships in port at the time. Many of the sailors have been photographed and named. One, Colin Jessup, she seemed to know, and he was probably a Chatham Island connection. There are also photographs and a press cutting of the newly delivered inter island ferry, "Hinemoa". Quantity: 1 album(s) Album(s). Description: View across the Kaipara River towards Helensville and the railway station. Moored at the wharf are the sailing ship Hazel Craig, and SS Aotea. Another steamship (unidentified) is hauled from the water on the left. Photograph taken by Albert Percy Godber, 1912. This image is a film negative copy taken from the print in Godber Album Vol 110, p 185 (PA1-q-103). The inscription beneath the image lists the ship to the right of the Hazel Craig as the SS Aotea, though note on the back of the file print reads "SS Aotea hauled out". This negative is a film negative copy taken from a print at Pa1-q-103 (Godber Album vol 110, p 185) Inscriptions: Album page - beneath image - Helensville and the River. "S.S. Aotea" The SS Aotea is probably a steamship of 263 grt), schooner rigged, built at Pyrmont, Sydney, in 1898. Regitered at the Port of Sydney in 1898, and at the Port of Auckland in 1899.
