Description: Three unidentified young girls standing together in a farmyard holding poi. Close by a Maori man is squatting down beside a toddler. In the background is a small wooden house with a corrugated iron roof and water tank, and a raupo-roofed shed. There is a chicken in the yard on the far right. Photograph taken by William A Price in early 1900s, possibly in vicinity of Te Mata. Source of descriptive information - Other photographs with captions around `138' were taken at Te Mata. Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom right - 138 William Archer Price lived and practised in Queen Street, Northcote, 1909-1910. They show children in a bathhouse. Frames 7- 12 are taken in Whakarewarewa and include; a woman who is holding an umbrella, a woman and a child operating what appears to be a souvenir stall, and a girl standing by a carved fence post.
