Description: Album of photographs taken by Edward Percy Sealy during the 1860s. They show views of Canterbury and the road to the West Coast, including the houses and farm buildings at Castle Hill Station (home of John Davies Enys), and those at the Orari Gorge Station (home of Charles George Tripp). Landscapes mostly show the route from Porter's Pass, past Mount William, through the Bealey Valley, Arthur's Pass, the Ragged Range, Otira Gorge, Orari Gorge, the Rakaia River, and views of Mount Cook (Aoraki) and Mount Sefton. Several photographs show winter scenes in the Alford Forest, followed by summer scenes in the forest. Quantity: 1 album(s).
