Each slide mount is annotated with the subject (type of structure and sometimes name of owner/company/building) and location. Dates and photographer name are sometimes annotated. Title transcribed from item. Most slides are not dated. Arrangement: The second of two boxes of slides labelled 'Industrial'. Transparencies were arranged in a 6-row, 50 slides per row, plastic case, and slides of similar structures were grouped together. Quantity: 11 colour original transparency/ies. Physical Description: Colour transparencies in plastic and cardboard slide mounts. Processing information: Slides have been removed from container and put into archival pockets, following the original order, from left to right and top to bottom.

Description: Looks across from the port area to the Boulder Bank with its lighthouse and other low buildings at the base. A buoy and small row boat with a larger vessel are in the foreground, low hills to the left and a distant ship is steaming towards the end of the Boulder Bank Previously identified as Evans Bay. However the topography is wrong and the scene can be identified as the Boulder Bank in comparison with E. L. McMillan's watercolour 'The Boulder Bank' (A-006-020) and with the New Zealand Graphic's 'The Brighton of the Antipodes, 24 Oct.1894' (p. 372) Haylock's pencil sketch in his sketchbook E-060-1-018 appears to be the preliminary sketch for this view Inscriptions: Signed: A.L.H.
