Description: Shows a view of the Port Hills, sketched possibly from Godley Head, at the mouth of Lyttelton Harbour. Cliffs rise up to the left of the beach, and the hills are represented on the right. The pencil inscription on the verso suggests the handwriting belongs to Charlotte Mabel Alington, and refers to a sketch by her brother John Sydney Alington (Syd) Inscriptions: Verso - top right - Port Hills look too large.
