Description: Panoramic view of large fields of hay and grain stacks on the Woodbourne Estate farm. Part of the farm was used by the Marlborough Aero Club, and in October 1928 Charles Kingsford Smith used these paddocks for his return to Australia in the "Southern Cross", the first flight made from New Zealand to Australia. Taken by Robert Percy Smith circa 1928-1929.
