Description: Topographical survey of the east coast of the South Island from (?)Mohinau, northern Pegasus Bay, inland to the Canterbury Plains, and then includes both the east and west coast from southwards of Rangitata River and Cave Point above Jackson Bay to the Bluff, and including Rakiura, Stewart Island. Includes Maori place names, especially on the east coast and inland of topographical features, including bays, reefs, mountains, rivers and lakes, (the west coast is predominantly English names, such as Poison Bay).
