Description: Contains images relating to the construction work of the northern part of the Wellington Urban Motorway. Taken by the National Publicity Studios about 1965. Images show excavation of Ngauranga Gorge and nearby hills, and land being reclaimed along the harbour edge. Trucks and excavating machines feature in some images; also several unidentified individuals. Includes some photographs of girders in railroad overbridge, plus clamps with a ruler showing their size. Description: Diazo prints of the defence battery at Ocean Beach, Dunedin; the land on which Fort Kelburne was built at Ngauranga; an elevation of a gun [probably] installed there; plans of Fort Kelburne made in the 1960s from what remained - include site plan, floor plan, elevation and section, details, details of gun emplacement. Also includes elevation of Government House in 1868, by architect N D Clayton. William Henry Clayton was the architect of the old Parliament Buildings. Quantity: 9 plan(s).
