Description: Cadastral map with topographical information of the Masterton, Carterton and South Wairarapa districts from the eastern coast at Castlepoint westwards to the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges and southwards to Palliser Bay. Coloured areas of the map refer to the reference key; namely Native reserves, Native lands, land under negotiation and Crown land. Over 50 streams have Maori names. Settlements such as Featherston, Greytown, Carterton are indicated. Several settler names are associated with land ownership, including Riddiford, Baxton's, Cameron's, Moores, Guthries, Telfords, Luxfords, Vallance's, Russell, Donalds, Gillies, Bidwill. The names Manaia and Herangi are also indicated. Most coastal land is Crown land while Maori land is concentrated around the Maungaraki and the Pukehinau Ranges. Quantity: 1 manuscript map(s).
