Description: Hydrographic map of Lambton Harbour, from Kaiwharawhara Point, south-eastwards to Oriental Bay, in the Wellington Harbour. Shows extensive soundings in fathoms, a pa (kainga) and the Waterloo Inn at Kaiwharawhara Point, southwards to 'Cliff' (Pipitea) Pa, military barracks, Thorndon settlement, Government House and offices, Custom House, a pa (kainga) on the coast at ?Te Aro Stream, Mount Cook military barracks, a large inlet (to present day Basin's Reserve) and a mill. Stamped 'Hydrographic Office 13 Jan 1954'. Written on map (before copying) 'L9267 Shelf Xz (Tracing same no. & shelf)'. Provides latitude and longitude of Pipitea Point, and tidal range. Attached to bottom of map (before copying) is a sketch from off Point Jerningham showing the harbour to Pipitea Point, houses, ships and hills. Quantity: 1 map(s). Description: Topographic map of the coastline from Lambton Harbour to Lyall Bay. Evans Bay is marked, includes depths in fathoms and the site of the dock with acreages and including the hill behind. In Lambton Harbour the site of a wharf adjacent to an area of reclaimed land is marked as is the site of the city of Wellington. Signal stations and a pilot's station are marked. The area of land from Evans Bay to Lyall bay is divided into numbered sections, part of which is named Burnham Water with notes which state that this land is now drained and that the whole peninsula is good grazing land and used as a sheep and cattle farm. The site of a homestead of Major Mc. Barnet is marked in section 9, about 390 acreas, on the peninsula. A homestead and stockyard etc. are marked at Evans Bay. Port Nicholson and Cook Strait are marked. Stamp on bottom left corner states: Waterlow and Sons, London - improved. Quantity: 1 manuscript map(s). Description: Cadastral map showing numbered sections for sale on Customhouse Quay, Lambton Quay, and Harbour Street, Lambton Harbour, Wellington, part surveyed, with sections already sold highlighted blue. Also shown are the reserves for Customs and Post Office, Society of Oddfellows building, government reserve, Scotch Kirk, 'Noah's ark', Plimmer's Wharf, and the new wharf. Some sections show position of dwelling on the property. In the bottom corner of the map is a 'schedule of upset prices of allotment'.
