Description: Publicity photographs taken for New Zealand Railways between 1937 and 1938 by unidentified photographers. Photographs in the North Island include tours between Stratford and Ongarue; Ngaruawahia celebrations in 1938 (including views of King Koroki's house which was built in 1938); Rotorua and six lakes trip; and opening ceremonies for the Hutt Railway. In the South Island views include Caroline Bay with events at the soundshell; in Timaru, views of a two-storied clubhouse and men playing bowls, a person practising croquet, and several games of tennis on a series of tennis courts; areas in Queen Charlotte Sound, Portage, Pelorus and Kenepuru Sounds and Blenheim Aerodrome; Tasman and Franz Josef Glaciers; Milford Sound; Punakaiki; and Cromwell. Description: Shows a landscape design for an L-shaped area with lawn, vegetable gardens, and formal garden in front of a house, the footprint of which is shown at the left. A space for a tennis court is shown at the right, as is a long lawn running beside an entrance driveway. The driveway turns left towards the house and ends in a circle around a formal garden. Pencil annotations indicate the amount of soil needed to build up the planting beds and lawns. Quantity: 1 watercolour(s). Physical Description: Pencil and watercolour, 970 x 870 mm (irreg.) Provenance: The tubes in which the plan was packed were sent to Andrew Cochrane of "Boscombe Villa" of Paraparaumu (1939), and R Duncan of Manuka Street, Otaki Beach (1940). One of these may have been the owner of the property depicted.

Description: Houses, house interiors, and furniture. Many of these may be views of Einhorn's own house. Phtographs of individual items of furniture include two coffee tables, one with a tiled top, and one with a top of green marble. Another piece of furniture is a desk-bookcase-storage unit designed by Einhorn in Germany in 1936. There are also photographs of a garden that may also be Einhorn's own. Photographs of modern houses include the "Lipson bach" photographed in 1984 as well as a number of other unidentified houses, and sometimes, their gardens. One photograph shows Einhorn at work setting up an exhibition of models of new Government office buildings, ca 1960s. About a quarter of the album is filled with photocopies of drawings for architectural projects designed by Einhorn in Germany in about 1936. One dated 1936 is a plan for a section of public housing including a drawing of a proposed house. This is very like the state housing projects in New Zealand. Other images include views of houses in Thorndon, and what are probably student work be Einhorn. Three are shaded pencil drawings of views of buildings, and one is a decorative rosette modled in clay, 1930s. Quantity: 1 album(s) Album(s).
