Description: Album of photographs of family and friends probably taken by Rhoda McWhannell. They include a sequence at the beginning of the wedding of Brian Stewart Geddes, and Audrey Marion (nee Hopkins), on 14th May 1945. Their family, especially their daughters Elizabeth Anne, and Jane Margaret, are photographed as babies, and as they grow. Scenic views include the Gisborne region; and Kawau Island, with a large group in Mr McDowell's party, deep-sea fishing from a launch, showing their catch of hapuka A group of women from the Women's War service Auxiliary at Katikati are seen in two images; and a meeting house at Katikati. Description: Album recording a motoring and camping holiday through the South Island of New Zealand. This took in the New Zealand South Seas Exhibition in Dunedin and included the West Coast, Otago, and Canterbury. The central part of the album has images of Khandallah, Wellington, and the family home in that suburb. Family photographs include Doug on his Norton Motorcycle, and Jack and Neville similarly posed on a Douglas Motorcycle. Rene and Frank stand at the net holding tennis rackets, and mother has several images with young Joyce. The last part of the album recordes something of a holiday to Auckland where the family camped at Brown's Bay and took a trip to Kawau Island. A group shot on Mt Messanger on the way back and some views of Pukekura Park New Plymouth complete the album Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).

Description: Album of photographs. Most of the views of Canterbury and Thames were taken by Daniel Mundy, between 1868 and 1872. New Zealand scenes are mostly taken by Daniel Mundy, and include many landscapes; a few taken in Christchurch City; several show the Raukapuka Station and Raukapuka Bush, near Geraldine; several taken in and around the Thames Goldfields, at Moanatiri Valley and Te Puhi Flat, with one view of the workings of `The Wild Missouri. Description: Glass negatives, taken by George Rennie Smart circa 1905 to 1920s of a range of subjects including some relating to Joseph Smith Smart, George's uncle, a police constable in Banks Peninsula. Most are unidentified. Images include: -Portraits, many of families, and often in a garden setting, possibly the Wellington Botanical Garden. Many probably show the Smart family. -Policemen, of both George and John Smart. -Groups and scenes on farms at George Smart's farm 'Karetu', Rakauroa district, and some from a farm near Fairlie, South Canterbury. -Photographs relating to Waihi. These include views of Seddon Street, general views of the town and images related to the 1912 Waihi Strike, when George Smart was stationed there as a mounted policeman. Included is a funeral scene, group portraits of police and horses, large groups of people assembled near the railway station, and the Waihi Commercial Hotel Other subjects include soldiers, cricket teams, rowers, (wedding?) cakes, a table set for a New Year celebration and shop window displays of the New Zealand Clothing Factory shop in Gisborne. Original letters written by George Smart relating to the Waihi Strike of 1912 are held at the New Zealand Police Museum, Porirua.
