Heatley was removed from his position as Minister of Housing, and was replaced by Nick Smith. Wilkinson had resigned from her position as Minister of Labour following the Pike River mining disaster, but still held positions of Minister for Food Safety, and Minister of Conservation until January 2013, when Key gave those portfolios to Kaye and Smith, respectively.
