Description: The larger of the two maps is of named claims in the Terawhiti Gold Fields. Names include Welcome, Eureka, Wealth Lower, Wealth Upper, Enterprise, Duke of Wellington, Golden Crown, Success, Caledonia, Scotia, Phoenix, Albion and Lady Gordon. The incline tramway between Albion Battery and the Lady Gordon claim is drawn, as are sites of houses, a machine site and Dowsett's Store. Includes streams. Tracks are marked between the gold fields. No reference key is provided. The second map is an enlargement of the Welcome and Eureka old claims with the new find marked along the Reef Creek. The company's name, Perseverance, is written across this map. A track leads to the Lower and Upper Wealth claims and Darkies Creek runs between them and the Enterprise claim.
