Jim Bolger was to be present at his Kawerau talk on 15 November. The poster also mentions speeches by Robert Muldoon (Taupo, 31 October; Hugh Templeton (Rotorua, 6 November), George Gair (Rotorua, 8 November) and Duncan McIntyre (Rotorua, 22 November). Context: The PM was keen for NZ to do the old "empire" thing and support Brotain in their fight against Argentina. On this occaision even his own party was not supportive of the move. Context: The Thomas affair referred to the Arthur Allan Thomas/Crewe murders. The marginal loans affair involved Duncan MacIntyre, Minister of Lands, with loans to relatives.
