Description: Poster advertising a week where there would be an emphasis on selling overcoats from the Hallenstein Bros clothing stores, shows at the left a man in a hat, overcoat, striped trousers and white spats, leaning on a cane and looking at the letters announcing "Overcoat Week". The letters are yellow on a blue background. Dated 1920s because Hallenstein Bros advertised Overcoat Week in newspapers at that time. In particular, the New Zealand Clothing Factory at Hawera advertised ca 1924. Linen-backed before purchase by the Library. Other Titles - Bros Quantity: 1 colour art print(s). The images are identified with labels, and other text is interspersed: Hallensteins for boys' clothing, Hallensteins for men's clothing, Hallensteins for footwear. Date estimated by donor. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s). Physical Description: Offset print, on paper bag 465 x 302 mm. Provenance: Donated by Melanie Mills, Wellington, in 2014. Item had been used as a drawer liner for many years.
