Description: In Maori. Includes story of Te Aomatarahi and Houmearoa; genealogies; the story of Ngaokoiterangi. Note by S P Smith says "the Ao-mata-rahi part of this ms has been prepared by Major H P Tunuiarangi in a much fuller form and has been prepared for the journal by me in April 1906. The Nga-Oko part is embodied in my paper sketch on History of Southern H.B. etc - 1906". This text contains information about Te Aomatarahi of Ngati Kahungunu and his relationship with his two wives and their children; there is related whakapapa tracing descent from Te Aomatarahi and from Ngaoko-i-te-rangi, and an account of the life of Ngaoko-i-te-rangi, an important south Wairarapa ancestor associated with the Ngati Ira people Quantity: 1 folder(s) (10 leaves).
