Description: Scrapbook of snapshots of family and friends, chiefly taken by Rona Avann, between 1948 and the 1950s. Images include views of spectators during the tour of Queen Elizabeth in January 1954, group of women at the Solway College Ball in 1953, her husband Leonard Avann's work farewell in 1957, holiday images at Waikanae, the Waikanae River in flood, a trip to Wanganui and Mount Egmont area, and several photographs of Rona Avann wearing the uniform of the Red Cross Transport Service. There is a sequence of photographs showing the various stages of initiation as a Buddhist monk of a friend of theirs (Sinsiri Nacabodee?), and later when he was named Chou Sungtong on the day he became a monk.
