Description: Interview with Pip (Phillipa) Desmond, born in Dunedin in 1955. Describes her strong Catholic upbringing and her relationshp with her father during her childhood and teenage years. Refers to spending three years at Victoria University, then going to Dunedin where she worked for the South Dunedin Youth Club. Talks about becoming involved with the Aroha Trust and Wellington Black Power. Recalls helping set up the Trust; her work, friends and leisure activities while she was a trust member; and her experiences as a woman in a gang scene. Covers briefly what she has done since leaving Aroha Trust, the effect the Trust has had on her life and her vision for the future.
