Description: Cartoons by Ashley Smith about New Zealand and international political and social issues. Part of the NZ Cartoon Archive Ashley Smith is a New Zealand cartoonist whose first published cartoons appeared in the Christchurch Press & Junior Digest around 1960. During an overseas experience in the 1970s, he published cartoons in Sydney's Daily Mirror, the Brisbane Sun, Northern Territory News, London's Football News. Upon returning to New Zealand he began publishing in the Christchurch Star. Based in Manuka Bay, Smith mainly publishes in M.G Business Magazine, The NZ Shipping Gazette, and Presto magazine.
