Description: Contains miscellaneous lantern slides of New Zealand scenes, mostly dated ca 1907. Likely to have been photographed by Butcher. Landscapes include a hand-coloured slide of a Burton Brothers photograph of Lake Wakatipu from Kinlock, unidentified coastal towns and harbour views (one featuring an obelisk monument), rock formations, and river scenes (some bridges). Images of Wellington include the Provincial Council Building, view of Thorndon (Molesworth Street), and boats on the beach in Island Bay with Tapu Te Ranga Island in the background. Images of Napier include newly planted Norfolk Pine trees on Marine Parade and outer harbour wharf scene. Dunedin Botanic Gardens, hand coloured images of the interior of an unidentified fern houses, and a series of views of Mount Taranaki and the surrounding area are included.
