Description: View looking along the beach at Cape Foulwind. Shows a large number of people on the beach, a group swimming, a number of women with parasols, and a pillar of rock standing out in the sea at the far end of the beach. Photograph taken circa 1910 by William Price. Source of descriptive information - Historical notes from Library client, 2007 Inscriptions: Photographer's title on negative - bottom left - Cape Foulwind 1993.B. The pillar of rock was known as The Giant's tooth. It was damaged in the 1929 Murchison earthquake and blasted down for safety reasons soon after. Quantity: 1 b&w original negative(s).
