Description: A panoramic view over Port Chalmers and Otago Harbour, looking out to sea to the sea beyond the Otago Peninsula on a calm day. There are ships in the water at Port Chalmers, and the houses of the Port on the side of the hill below. Quarantine Island can be seen in the harbour waters in the centre. Larnach's Castle (built 1873-1876) may be the building visible in the distance on the hills opposite. Aramoana is the low-lying sandy area on the far left. Detached from: Welch, J. S.
