Description: Album of photographs. The first sequence deals mainly with the Health Camp established by Dr Elizabeth Gunn in 1919, situated at the Turakina Homestead of Bennett Perry Lethbridge. Shows supervisors (mostly school nurses and trainee teachers), Dr Gunn, Mr Lethbridge, William Massey, and various activities associated with the camp. These included kit inspection, toothbrush drill and saluting the flag. Trainee teachers included Rona Benbow. Later images show views of the Otekaieke Special School (North Otago), views of school buildings and classrooms, and photographs of Len (Leonard Avann, who married Rona Benbow). There are some images of Wellington, including Rona Benbow with a group of infants at Oriental Bay, and views of the Wellington Zoo. Quantity: 1 album(s) Album(s).
