Description: Ben Ling, with his mother, and possibly a maid, on a horse drawn cart at the gateway to their property in Otaki, taken circa 1890s by an unidenitified photographer. Wooden posts, carved in an oriental style, mark the gateway. The Ling property later became Otaki Racing Club Land.
