Description: Shows a man in a police cell demanding to see a lawyer. The guard points to a row of men in the cells opposite and invites him to, "Take your pick!" Exhibited in 'The Line-Up' exhibition of 36 cartoons by 36 cartoonists curated by the New Zealand Cartoon Archive and exhibited in the National Library auditorium foyer from 5 April 2002 to mark the tenth anniversary of establishment of the New Zealand Cartoon Archive. Description: The cartoon shows a charred and blackened man staring out from between the bars of a jail. Refers to the police tasering of a man who confronted them with a weapon following a blood spattered brawl in Invercargill. It is believed to be the first time South Island police have used a Taser, which delivers a disabling 50,000 volt jolt to the target.
