Description: Part two of a three part panorama of Dunedin. Shows Caversham looking towards the sea. Most of the buildings are on flat land, rising to a housing area on the hill to the right. There is a park in the centre, and nearer the foreground there is a complex of buildings identified as the Benevolent Institute, including one large building which is two-storeyed in parts, with a three-storeyed section to the right. This building has three deep arches on the left, and has very distinctive quoins (cornerstones). Photographed by Albert Percy Godber in 1925. Other - Part one is at APG-1898-1/2. Part three is at APG-1922-1/2. Location identified from comparison with an image at 1/1-025917 (File print at 81. Dunedin. Caversham. 1890s) showing the Benevolent Institute.
