Description: Autograph book owned by an unidentified New Zealand Guard at the Prisoner of War Camp, Featherston during World War Two. Volume contains signatures by New Zealand guards at the camp; signaturers accompanied by illustations from Japanese prisoners of war; and signatures from American soldiers based in Hawera (1943). Language - Signatures and comments by prisoners are mainly in their own language Source of title - Supplied by Library The Featerston Military Camp was established during World War One. At the request of the USA the camp was re-established as a Prisoner of War Camp for Japanese soldiers in September 1942.
